A licensed mariner, marine engineer, and self-taught developer, Alex started Sea Trials between voyages while studying for his own USCG license exams. Eight years and 50,000+ mariners later, it’s a fully custom-built platform for the USCG exam — every layer engineered in-house, no off-the-shelf course software stitched together underneath.
